Hello my name is Erica Saylors and this is my assistant model Ashley Charlton. Today I'm going to be talking about the interview competition. It is a very important part of many pageants. It involves a private interview with three, four, sometimes five panel judges. When choosing an outfit for interview competition, it's important to choose something very professional looking, something that is tailored nicely to your figure, and something that is not inappropriate. Do not ever choose a skirt that is too short. Notice that she's chose something that falls right below her knee. If you choose anything that is shorter than that make sure it comes right above the knee and doesn't come any shorter than that for interview competition. It is always important to wear heels with your interview. Do not wear any flat shoes. It is not complimentary to your posture. It is also important to think about how you're going to do your hair for interview competition. Some choose to wear their hair down. Other contestants wear ponytails, usually that looks very professional. Also, another professional look is pulling your hair half back. Whatever suits you the best and whatever you feel the most comfortable with is what you should choose. It is also important to know that the point of interview is to come in with a professional attitude, never chewing gum, keeping eye contact with the judges, smiling and being pleasant about your personality, who you are and what platform you've chosen to speak about and that is important in preparing for an interview competition for a pageant.
